About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team at Arete. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software solutions for Navy sensor systems.Key Responsibilities

Design and implement new features and bug fixes for Navy sensor systems.
Perform testing using embedded processors, circuit boards, and related test equipment.
Develop and present innovative software designs at customer meetings.
Participate actively in scrum meetings and collaborate with a small software/hardware team.
Demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage project components to meet tight deadlines.Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science.
- C++ and embedded development experience.
- Collaborative team experience (Scrum).
- Strong customer communication and presentation skills.Preferred Qualifications
  - Linux systems-level knowledge and C++ programming.
  - VSCode cross-platform development experience.
  - Familiarity with serial communication: SPI, UART, I2C.
  - GPU programming (CUDA).
  - C# code development with WinForms, WPF, Avalonia UI.What We Offer
